David was born in Monroe, Wisconsin to Thomas and Doris Chinn, and has three brothers and one sister who passed away due to illness at 2 years old. David’s dad, Thomas was also a United Methodist pastor. David was raised and spent his formative years in Wisconsin, graduating from High School in 1977 from Peshtigo High School. Following graduation David spent 4 years in the United States Air Force where he was trained as a mechanic on aircraft towing tractors and deicers. David attended Indiana Wesleyan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. David attended Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary where he completed his Course of Study in Pastoral Ministry. Prior to being appointed to Huntingburg UMC David served First UMC in Montpelier, IN. and Pleasant Grove UMC in Hartford City, IN.(2 point charge, 5 years), Herbst UMC in Marion, IN.(5 years), and Hamline Chapel UMC in Lawrenceburg, IN.(3 years). David and his wife Robin were married in 2003 and have 4 children between them and 4 grandchildren.

Favorite Scripture: Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Director of Worship

Emma Mundy

Emma Mundy has been involved in music from a very young age and is excited to join the team at Huntingburg United Methodist Church!

Previous experience has included playing piano for churches on a regular basis and working as a collaborative pianist for the choral department at Center Grove Middle School North and for the theatre department at Center Grove Community High School. She also served as an accompanist for Franklin Community Middle School and played a role in starting the “Sensations” show choir at Franklin Community High School, which won third place at their very first competition and has received the state title in the ISSMA Women’s Show Choir division for the last two years.

In addition to teaching Music at South Spencer School Corporation, Emma provides music for weddings and special events and regularly provides piano accompaniment at music conferences, concerts, and contests. She has participated in several vocal and instrumental contests and has won several awards, including the Arion award, which the oldest and most prestigious national award in for outstanding achievement by high school musicians in band, orchestra and chorus. Her most recent achievement was getting to accompany for 2020 Grammy Nominee, Jake Runestad.

Emma holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Human Services and is currently taking courses with hopes of becoming a P.A.




Nursery Director/Housekeeper

Becky Bauer

Becky Bauer has been the Nursery Supervisor for nearly 10 years now. Becky is also our housekeeper and takes pride in keeping the church and preschool clean.  Originally from Huntingburg, Becky was born November 28.  She has two sons, two daughters and 10 grandchildren.  Becky also has two brothers and two sisters.  Becky has been a member of our church for over 20 years.

Becky's favorite music is the 60's and 70's and she loves comedies and romantic movies.  Loving to laugh, Becky watches reality shows and comedies on tv.  Becky went to Tri-State Beauty College after high school and became a cosmetologist.  Her treasure now is her grandchildren and she loves activities that involve them all.

Becky's favorite Bible verse is John 3:16:  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Jenny Underhill

Jenny was born, raised, and still resides in Huntingburg. She attended Southridge High School and Oakland City University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught in the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation for many years. After retiring from teaching, Jenny realized she wasn't really ready for retirement. She was blessed to find the position she currently has working as the secretary at Huntingburg United Methodist Church and Color My World Preschool. Jenny married Tim Underhill in 1985, and they have two children, Nick and Jill, and five grandchildren, Chloe, Sophia, Jerica, Owen, and Beckett. 

Jenny has eclectic taste in music and enjoys listening to all kinds, but songs from the 70's are her favorites. She loves spending time with family and going to the beach. She also loves to cook and read. 

Jenny's favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jennifer Kramer

Jennifer Kramer was born and raised on the Bockting Farm west of Huntingburg.  She attended Southridge High School and graduated in 1993 moving on to earn an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Vincennes University Jasper Campus in 1997.  Jennifer married her best friend, Donnie, in the fall of 1997.  They have two boys, Wyatt and Brody.  They reside in the town of Holland.

"I have had the wonderful experience of teaching Preschool at the HUMC for 26 years. My birthday is March 10.  I enjoy spending time with family, scrapbooking, and attending my kid's sporting events.  I, along with my husband, am very involved with Southridge Middle and High School football and wrestling, Salem United Church of Christ, and serves on several other boards and committees in the community.

My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind and I enjoy "Bubble gum" music.  My favorite quote from the Bible is Romans 12:7 “If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.”

Geri Sivori

Mrs. Geri Sivori lives in Huntingburg, Indiana, with her husband Sean and is the mother of four boys, Joshua, Julian, Kane, and Oliver. She has lived in Huntingburg most of her life. Ms. Geri graduated from Southridge High School in 1992. She had an in-home daycare for 16 years before becoming the assistant site coordinator for RIDGE, the after school program at Huntingburg Elementary. Geri has her certification in child and youth care. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and serves as a Eucharistic Minister. She is also CPR and first aid certified.
